The Blossoms Will Come

“To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.” -Kurt Vonnegut

Did you know that there are flowers that bloom in the winter? And I'm not talking about just before spring. The old wives' tale that after the buttercups bloom, it will snow one more time before spring does not apply here.

I'm talking about the flowers that bloom in the dead of winter! 🥶 They want to be planted in the fall and reach their peak when most people don't even think to be looking for them.

I say this to remind you that art won't be all praise. Sometimes, you will plant yourself in practice and have to grow through a harsh winter.

But when you finally blossom, the journey toward becoming a better artist will mean so much more. 💗

So, focus on having healthy roots and resilience. The blossoms won't always come when you expect them.
