Rufus Overwhelms the Senses
Rufus is the snooty, know-it-all, art critic that lives inside the mind of every artist.
Spring is upon us, and with that comes many pleasures and awakenings after a cold winter. All of the hopes and dreams that had to lay dormant during the winter come in full bloom rapidly once the warmer weather hits, and Rufus knows exactly what to do with this...
Overwhelm and empty.
Step 1: Overwhelm
Step 2: Empty
Every mess inside and outside becomes countless more tasks. Emails feel like they stack up. Requests grow to feel insurmountable.
So, what do you do?
Deep breath. Not everything has to be done right now, and no, this isn't a "the dishes can wait" forever comment that obviously hasn't seen a household with two days worth of non-dishwasher safe dishes.
What Rufus is doing is...
...overwhelming you to the point that you have sensory overload at even the slightest thing, so the best way to combat it is to reground yourself in reality, triage your tasks, make a manageable list, and start making progress rather than perfection.
It may take some sunshine, a walk, and several deep breaths to get regrounded, but once you are, you can tackle the tasks ahead and tell Rufus to eat your dust.
