Inspiration is Out There

"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web." -Pablo Picasso

The most random and seemingly insignificant of objects can produce sentimental attachment. For instance, have you ever seen children's eyes light up seeing a relic from your past? There is just something about it that inspires them and gets their imagination racing. You didn't have to say anything about it. All it took was for their eyes to make contact.

Seeing people can be the same way. A smile that lights up the room, hair that flows like ocean waves, eyes that imitate deep pools of water, and so many other human features can be inspiring and start your imagination down its runway.

The more something or someone makes you feel, the more likely you are to not give up on the painting and to produce a work you didn't believe possible.

Inspiration is everywhere. It is up to you to take hold and harness it.
