Learning a new skill is like eating an elephant, and how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
It would be great if we could leave it at that, but sometimes we bite off more than we can chew.
The first goal in learning a new skill should actually be learning the pieces of it. Break it down into its component parts, the bite-size kind, and set up a road map on how to learn it. This usually requires watching the skill be performed over and over to get the road map set in your mind.
Once you've broken it down into each little piece, start eating! But make sure you don't eat out of order. In this case, it's actually more like building than eating an elephant. 😅
Each chunk of information builds on the last, making it more and more meaningful in your path toward the skill. Until finally, you reach mastery!
