Don't Be Scared

“To create one’s own world takes courage.” -Georgia O’Keeffe
Many times artists have ideas in their heads that they just can't seem to get onto the canvas. There are many reasons that stall us from painting these ideas. From not thinking we have the skills to not thinking we have the time to take away from client pieces, the reasons can be endless.
Yet, rather than not thinking, think back to when you were a child. Did you get stories at bedtime or read books for fun? Did you draw any of those stories or other stories that you came up with in your mind?
Wait...did you have the skillset to create a "perfect" image of the scene in mind when you were a child? 🤔
Well, of course not. You were prepared with the picture and the story to go with it.
The difference? As a child, you weren't worried about what everyone else thought. You were doing it for you.
Don't be scared to try something new. Many times creativity takes courage because we allow the voices to rise above our vision.
Hand-painted in Adobe Photoshop CC using the Wacom Intuos Pro and the Wacom Art Pen.
